Studies on the Putative Parent of Cultivated Chrysanthemum (3)

Abstract
Three species of Chrysanthemum, C. zawadskii, C. indicum which have been regarded as the putative parent of cultivated Chrysanthemum, and allied plant C. lavandulaefolium grow wild in southern parts of Korea.
Interspecific crossings among these species were made and morphological characters of the F©û plants were examined. Crossings are successful except in a few cases in most of the combinations. Some of the hybrid seed fail to germinate.
F©û plants are variable, but intermediate in their morphological characters.
